Halka is the new musical project born from several years of artistic collaboration between Grimposium veterans – Vivek Venkatesh, David Hall, Owen Chapman – and Norwegian progressive metal legend Enslaved’s co-founder Ivar Peersen. They will be joined in the studio and for live shows by Annabelle Brault, Danji Buck-Moore and Martin Lalonde.
Halka will record its debut album in  in Montreal and they will play their first ever live show at the St Jax church. This event is postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Halka means gentle and subtle in Urdu. Through Halka, we explore the ethos of slow and purposeful creation.
What does it mean to be gentle in the face of harshness? How light do we need to be so as to float and yet feel anchored?
